Begin Increasing Your Link Popularity Right Now

Link popularity is important to your website receiving the maximum amount of traffic. This is because the search engines, like Google, Yahoo and MSN look for other websites linking to your website to help determine how popular your website is. The more outside websites that link to your website, the higher your link popularity is and therefore the more traffic you will receive from the search engines.
Building link popularity is easy enough, and there are both for fee and for free ways to do so. As a beginner, you want to start with the free methods. This is important so that you know how things work. A foundation of understanding is important so you can later train outsourcers.
One way to begin building your link popularity is with blogs. Not your own blog, but by using other people’s blogs. It’s a simple process that you can begin right now to increase you backlinks.
So first of all, go to Google and click the ‘Blogs’ link at the top. You’re going to put in a keyword that is about the topic of your site. After that, Google will give you a list of all blogs that have articles about the topic, and you’ll go to them.
Commenting is always available on blogs. So to build links, you’ll read the article to make sure it’s relevant to your website. Then you’ll find the ‘Comments’ link and add a comment about the blog post.
After hitting the “Comments” button, you’ll usually find 3 sections to fill out. They want your name, your website address and your email. It’s important that the website address field is filled out completely, since that’s how you’ll make that blog link back to you.
The bigger box is for you to actually input the comment you want to add. Never, ever spam the blog you are trying to get a link from because they will probably just delete your comment.
Instead, make your comment relevant to the post that the blog author wrote. Usually people like compliments, so leaving a complimentary comment is always more likely to be published. Try to add value to the post the author already wrote or even respond to comments other people have submitted.
After your well thought out and interesting comment is written, post it. There are some blogs where your comment will show up right away. Others will make the blog owner approve the comment first, and you may get a notice that your post is in the moderation queue.
Once you’re done with your comment, get back to Google’s Blog Search and find all the other entries on your niche. Then leave comments on ALL of them. The more places you leave comments, the more links you are getting in return, which will increase your own traffic.
This is simple enough for even the most beginning internet marketer to do. What’s more, if you do it on a fairly repetitive schedule, your links will build slowly over time. All the while increasing your rank.
